The long-awaited Australian KODA launch!

Unwrapped KODA byFalcoPeters

It’s here! The KODA-for-Australia Launch Day is here! We’ve prepared for this day for over two years – and if any of the team would stop for a moment to think what kind of two years those have been – well, it feels really incredible to finally be able to show to tiny house design fans in Australia, what a KODA specially adjusted for local conditions looks like. This project has taken innumerable video calls, e-mails,  coordination of drawings, etc, but above all – enormous amounts of dedication and passion from people working on a special tiny house for Australia, in both Perth and in Tallinn.

The team behind our Australian expansion is led by Leanne McKenzie, an engineer with over 20 years in urban development, residential construction and affordable housing. Leanne’s desire is to demonstrate to the rest of the southern hemisphere folk that tiny houses can be luxurious, stylish and offer a quality of life that is worth exploring.

Leanne is joined by Philip Kemp, who is an experienced and established construction industry professional. Being a keen advocate for small and modular housing, his love for timber building innovation and industry leadership in the implementation and use of virtual building and component design software, makes him and KODA houses a natural match.

We are so proud to have power-duo on board and can happily announce that the first ever Australian KODA, locally built, will be available for viewing from November 10 in Perth. For those who can’t make it to Perth, we will be creating a video walk-through so that all of Australia can experience the new Aussie-KODA. Built with local materials and local labour, the first model available for Australian markets is ever so slightly adapted from the original KODA Loft design.

The KODA in Perth will be available for viewing by appointment only. Please contact our team via australia@kodasema.com.

NB! For those of you located in Australia: we have a separate Australia newsletter, subscribe for that here: https://kodasema.com/au/
